Dear brothers and sisters of St. Christopher’s,
In this snow and rain day, we are busy preparing for October Israel-Jordan Trip. We just received news that October will be high season in Holy Land. Air ticket fee has increased significantly compared to before Christmas. Now St. Christopher’s holds 20 group rate ticket of $1340, instead of $1480 if order on web. Therefore, please decide and pay your $300 US deposit on this Sunday to Benita or Dora. First come first serve.
Due to high season, we also need to book hotels. Hence, we now invite other Anglican sister churches to join us. The max seat is 40. Please feel free to invite your family and friends to join.
2019 Israel-Jordan Holy Land Tour
St. Christopher’s is planning a Holy Land 13-day tour from Oct 5-17. Through One’s Travel coordination, a local experienced tour guide, Nee, and Canon Der spiritual guidance, we will visit major biblical sites. Let the Word of God come alive in the land. The tour will be mainly conducted in Cantonese. As we organize this trip, we hope to give the first 17 spots to our parishioners and friends. Then we will promote through our sister churches. Total cost including the tour, tips and airfare will be approx. $4600. If interested, please contact Benita Pong before Jan 27. For details, please pick up the information from the front desk or check our poster.
Yours truly in Christ,
Philip Der+ (The Rev. Canon)
We have launched the Nurturing Credit System, with the purpose to encourage parishioners’ spiritual growth and practice Christian living. We encourage everyone to get 10 credits before June 2015, and our goal is to achieve 500 credits church wide. There are many things we can do to grow spiritually and practice Christian living. For example, attending Sunday School, reading devotional books or material, audio and visual CDs or DVDs, or even caring by making phone calls and visits. All parishioners are encouraged to sign your name or colour the paper doll and put it on the poster.
