Dear brothers and sisters of St. Christopher’s,
May the peace of Christ be with you! We are very thankful that last Saturday, Tri-Church Garage Sale had a wonderful day, with lots of people from the community to shop. In total, we raised over $4000. 19 people expressed their concerns of our community. Two of them joined our North York Service on this past Sunday and one of them would like to accept Jesus. We also thank our organizer, Marilyn Yeung, for her tireless effort to pull this together. We give thanks to God for all the blessings.
While we giving thanks, we also remember those who suffer from the recent Hurricanes in Haiti and Cuba. We ask your support to Primate’s World Relief & Development Fund (PWRDF) to direct your donation to these two poor areas. Please see the link below:http://pwrdf.org/2017/pwrdf-responds-to-hurricane-irma-with-40000-for-cuba-and-haiti/
You may donate online or through St. Christopher’s special offer “PWRDF”. We will collect the donation until Thanksgiving Sunday, Oct 1.
Lastly, Rev. Der will be on his first Mission Trip to Panama from Sept 22-29, teaching at a local Bible College, preaching at two different churches and leading a workshop on this Sunday. Please remember him in your prayers.
Yours truly in Christ,
The Rev. Philip Der

What activities do Christians have during the week? You may consider joining us every Thursday, 9 am to 1 pm, for a new program “YEAH” (Young and Energetic at Heart) Club, and learn craft, origami, ping pong, interest classes. There will be time for fellowship and lunch together. All are welcome!
We have launched the Nurturing Credit System, with the purpose to encourage parishioners’ spiritual growth and practice Christian living. We encourage everyone to get 10 credits before June 2015, and our goal is to achieve 500 credits church wide. There are many things we can do to grow spiritually and practice Christian living. For example, attending Sunday School, reading devotional books or material, audio and visual CDs or DVDs, or even caring by making phone calls and visits. All parishioners are encouraged to sign your name or colour the paper doll and put it on the poster.
