2019 Sermon

Holy Week

Sun. April 14 Palm Sunday – Due to rain and cold weather, the English congregation will gather in the Sunday School classrooms foyer for the liturgy of the Palm. The procession will enter with palms in hand, in remembrance of Jesus Christ’s triumphant entry into Jerusalem.

Thurs. April 18 Washing of Feet – At the Last Supper, Jesus set an example for us by washing the disciples’ feet and taught us to be servants. On Maundy Thursday, 7:30 pm at NYC, we will have Washing of Feet ceremony. If you like the priest to wash your feet, please sign on the board. (On that night, there will also be Striping of the Altar, signifying our Lord’s humiliation and suffering.) Mrs. Tracy Wong will be the preacher.

Fri. April 19 Good Friday – We will have meditative service at 11 a.m. at RHC (English & Chinese).

Pray for the victims of the Christchurch attacks

God of infinite mercy, we pray for the victims of the Christchurch attacks.
Remember them according to the favour you bear for your people.
Comfort those who mourn and give strength to the injured.
Deliver those whose hearts are hardened by hatred.
Grant to us all your understanding, and your persevering love, for your mercy’s sake. Amen.

Nurturing Credit System

We have launched the Nurturing Credit System, with the purpose to encourage parishioners’ spiritual growth and practice Christian living. We encourage everyone to get 10 credits before June 2015, and our goal is to achieve 500 credits church wide. There are many things we can do to grow spiritually and practice Christian living. For example, attending Sunday School, reading devotional books or material, audio and visual CDs or DVDs, or even caring by making phone calls and visits. All parishioners are encouraged to sign your name or colour the paper doll and put it on the poster.
